Award-winning soprano, comedienne, writer, and tarot reader Rebecca Kidnie is a versatile artist currently based in New York City.

The dazzilingly and dizzylilingly multitalented Rebecca Kidnie is beloved for her genre-bending creativity and weirdittude. Described as “achingly beautiful”, Rebecca’s distinctive and charismatic vocal instrument voice finds a home in repertoire old as dirt as well as written yesterday. A fierce advocate for new music, Rebecca is a also a writer and composer. She frequently performs with groups throughout New York City network including Upright Citizen Brigade, the PIT-NYC, Brooklyn Art Haus and Resounding Silents. In addition, she maintains a monthly blog series on Reblogga’s Beck to keep track of her upcoming performances and projects as well as any other thought that pops through.

Her self written solo show, Rita Libretto is: The Ring Cycle in which Rebecca performs the entirety of Wagner’s Ring Cycle had its world premiere in 2026 as a co-production with Towson University’s Summer at the Center & River City Opera. Next up: a midwest tour and perhaps TN?
